The Polls module allows residents to participate in active community votes, ensuring their opinion is counted on various topics from event planning to policy changes.
The top section provides a clear, personal snapshot of the resident's voting activity and the status of community polls:
- Voted: The total number of polls the resident has already cast a vote in.
- Not Voted: The number of current, active polls that the resident is eligible for but has not yet participated in. This is the resident's priority action list.
- Active: The total number of polls currently running in the community (open for voting).
- Ended: The total number of polls whose voting period has expired.

The tabs and filters allow the resident to quickly navigate through the different stages of community votes:
- All: Shows every poll available to the resident (Active, Voted, Ended).
- Active: Shows only the polls currently open for voting.
- Voted: Shows only the polls the resident has already participated in.
- Ended: Shows only the polls whose duration has expired.
- Custom (Date Range Filter): The resident can tap "Custom" to open a date range selector, allowing them to view polls that started within a specific period by selecting a "From Date" and "To Date" and tapping "Apply Filter."

The process for voting is designed to be quick and secure.
- Identify an Active Poll: Locate a poll that is currently running and that you have "Not Voted" in.
- Review Details: Read the poll's title (the question), the name of the creator, and the Start and End Dates to understand the scope and deadline.
- Cast Your Vote:
- For Single Choice polls, tap the radio circle next to your preferred option (e.g., "Movie Night").
- For Multiple Choice polls (if applicable), tap all options you wish to select.
- Confirm: Tap the green "Select an option to vote" button at the bottom of the poll card.

After voting, the display of results depends on how the Management Committee set up the poll:
- Immediate Results (After Vote): If the results are set to show immediately, the resident will see the current running tally (percentage breakdown) right after submitting their vote.
- Delayed Results (After End Date): If the poll is set up for formal, unbiased voting, the resident will only be able to view the final results once the official End Date has passed.
The Polls module is the simplest way to exercise your democratic voice. By regularly checking the dashboard and reducing your "Not Voted" count, you ensure your opinion contributes to the fast, transparent, and democratic decision-making process of your community.
